In addition to my medical training as a critical care registered nurse, I am also a Certified Health Coach, and member of the National Society of Health Coaches.  Many of my clients know what they need to do, but just can’t get themselves to do it.  I recognize and respect that you are the expert on you! My job is to help you access your inner resources to facilitate behavior change. Motivational Interviewing is a form of talk therapy that I use to dig deep to uncover my client’s true motivation for change.  Once this is discovered, I work with proven behavioral techniques that move you toward a healthier life. These learned skills stop unwanted behaviors that are sabotaging your health. Together we will take charge of the things in your life that you can control. The focus is NOT on having enough willpower, but on strategies that will help you reach your ultimate wellness goals.

As a Whole Health Educator through the National Institute of Whole Health,  I incorporate only evidence-based and cutting-edge approaches that look at the five aspects of health: physical, emotional, nutritional, environmental and spiritual© that can influence the well-being of my clients.  I avoid the typical “band-aid” approach to treating health conditions and partner with my clients to uncover root causes of their health concerns.  I treat you as a “whole person” and not just a diagnosis.   This whole person approach helps my clients connect the dots between their current lifestyle behavior and health. Recognizing that change is hard, I partner with you to develop an action plan with attainable goals.  These positive lifestyle changes can reduce your risk of developing a life-threatening disease or lessen the symptoms of a current diagnosis.
